Afghanistan decision to come within days, White House says

President Obama met with his national security team Monday night. At this meeting, Obama and the team debated and took notes about trying to decide the issue of Afghanistan. The main concern Obama is trying to decide whether to put more troops in Afghanistan or not. If he were to give the heads up, Obama would put 34,000 more troops in Afghanistan, adding to the 68,000 troops that are already in Afghanistan. The troubles behind this drastic increase of troops to Afghanistan would be, how would they ever and when would they pull the troops out and give controll back to the Afghanistan government. At this time President Obama does not have faith or trust the President of Afghanistan.

I feel like Obama's war efforts in Afghanistan are like trying to set ice on fire. In the past few decades, the United States has been pushing its nose farther and farther into other countries business. We have claimed that it is in the interest of all the other countries and for the safety of the United States. Invading Iraq and now Afghanistan, I am starting to question our friendly involvement and see some comparisons to the same ideas as Hitler and the Nazis. Our country invaded Iraq after 9/11 in terrorist efforts, but came up with nothing. We stay here and do the same to Afghanistan by moving a majority number of troops into this country. Not only do I think this puts our troops lives at risk, I think it is the same idea Hitler had. Extending our power slowly into other countries, and before you know it we are trying to take over every country that fits our personal interests. We have to be careful, to not fall like Hitler or Rome.
